Classic Mountain Scrambling Weekend
(2 Days)
This weekend entails 2 full days with a full qualiified instructor
taking in classic scrambles in Snowdonia and covering skills and
techniques required to improve your scrambling. These courses are
suitable for people with a good level of fitness and a reasonable head
for heights.
To ensure that you get the highest level of care and instruction, this
weekend is run on a ratio of 1:2.
Day 1 – We meet at 8:30am to discuss weather,
possible venues and the routes you would like to do. We will base these
decisions on your experience of scrambling and your aspirations. We
then spend the day tackling the scramble(s) and learning new skills and
rope techniques.
Day 2 – We usually aim to be more ambitious on
day 2, making use of the skills and techniques we learnt the day
before. We will tackle a more challenging scramble or more of the same
if you so prefer.
Your instructor will provide all necessary safety equipment including
harness, helmet and rope. You will need to wear suitable clothing
including a good pair of walking boots. We will send you a kit
list of all you will need.
